LONG SERVICE HAT-TRICK FOR BRADFORD
May 09th 2016
Congratulations to three members of staff at our Bradford branch – they’re celebrating 25 years service at Graham! Chris Burnip, Mark Corbally and Paul Hannam have all worked together over the past 25 years and attribute their long service to the great team spirit at Graham and to the close customer relationships they have.
Chris, who is now area director in the North of England area, started in 1990 and said: “I came to Bradford after joining the company as a management trainee, Mark and Paul were already at the branch. I worked my way up to become the branch manager and eventually area director. The opportunities that were given to me at Graham are one of the reasons that many staff stick around – there’s room for progression and we work with a great bunch of people.”
The three colleagues have all worked together at some point in the Bradford branch, with Mark and Paul remaining at the branch. At one point Paul did move to Leeds and then Dewsbury for a short period of time, but he soon returned to his spiritual home of Bradford.
Mark Corbally, who is now branch manager at Bradford, joined Graham as a salesman in 1991, he joked: “I haven’t moved jobs because nobody else will work with me! In all seriousness, I love the customer interaction and the relationships I’ve built with them. I particularly like meeting new people and generating new business”
Paul Hannam, Sales supervisor at Bradford said: “I actually started in 1987, then left for six months, so officially I’ve been working at Graham since 1991; I started in the warehouse and working on the counter. It’s great that there is a lot of room for movement at Graham and have the chance to try new roles and take on fresh challenges.”
Chris concluded: “Bradford is one of the most successful branches in the area and I think the lads’ long service there is a testament to that. Here’s to many more years at Graham!”
